Who We Are
No One Should Sleep Hungry.
Ghar Ghar Langar Sewa (GGLS) is a humanitarian initiative of Guru Arjun Samajik Pratisthan, rooted in the spirit of Sewa and the belief that no one should go to bed hungry.
What began as a grassroots response to hunger grew into a movement of people coming together to serve those in need. During the COVID-19 crisis, volunteers organised large-scale food distribution and reached thousands of families, migrant workers and vulnerable people. The experience also showed us that Sewa must go wherever the need is.
Today, our work extends beyond food to education, healthcare, youth development, environmental initiatives and disaster response.
From everyday food Sewa in Ahilyanagar to reaching communities affected by floods, food shortages and other emergencies, we strive to stand with people when they need support the most.
Sewa should reach where there is a need.

Sewa Through Their Eyes
The impact of Sewa is best understood through the people who experience it and the people who make it possible. Every meal served, every child supported, every volunteer who gives their time and every partner who stands with us becomes part of the Ghar Ghar Langar Sewa journey.
My name is Pramod Pantam , and I have been associated with Ghar Ghar Langar Sewa for the past six years. During the COVID-19 pandemic, when people from different backgrounds came together to serve those in need, I also came to Ghar Ghar Langar Sewa. From that day onwards, I became a part of this seva. For the last six years, I have been involved in food packing, distribution and different kinds of seva. Working alongside around 65 dedicated volunteers has been a truly beautiful and enriching experience. Over these years, we have had the opportunity to serve people from all walks of life. What makes this journey special is not only the food we distribute, but the sense of humanity, togetherness and compassion that we experience while serving. Being connected with Ghar Ghar Langar Sewa has given me immense satisfaction. Even today, I continue to support the cause and contribute wherever I can. For me, this is more than volunteering—it is seva, humanity and a journey that has touched my life deeply. Pramod Pantam Newspaper Distributor
“A Simple Meal That Makes a Big Difference”
I am a nursing student in Ahilyanagar and come from a rural background. As a student with limited financial resources, it is often difficult for me to find food that is both affordable and nutritious, especially food that is not too spicy or oily.
When I came to know about Ghar Ghar Langar Sewa – Annasewa, I felt very happy and relieved. For just ₹10, I can get a food packet that is sufficient for my evening meal. The food is simple, wholesome and suitable for me.
This small support has made a big difference in my daily life. It helps me manage my expenses and allows me to focus more on my studies without worrying about my evening meal.
I am truly grateful to Ghar Ghar Langar Sewa for making nutritious food accessible to students like me.
My name is Hrishikesh Mohile, and I work with Microsoft in Bangalore.
I have been following Ghar Ghar Langar Sewa since the COVID-19 pandemic. I remember seeing their posts and updates about how they were serving freshly prepared food from door to door to people who were struggling during those difficult times.
Later, they started their evening food seva, which is still continuing today. I really appreciate the consistency and dedication with which this initiative has been carried forward.
Whenever I visit Ahilyanagar, I try to volunteer and contribute in whatever way I can. Even when I am away, I try to support the cause through my yearly contribution.
For me, providing food to someone who needs it is one of the simplest and most meaningful ways of serving society. I am very happy to be associated with Ghar Ghar Langar Sewa and to support the wonderful work they are doing.
Thank you, Ghar Ghar Langar Sewa, for continuing this seva with such dedication.
